- How would you describe what you do for a living?
I am a male musical artist; I make a living by writing for people in other industries. I hope to be able to make a living from music someday.
- What is your most vivid childhood memory?
My entire family is having to leave the house of our landlord at night in a hurry for our own uncompleted house.
- What’s the greatest fear you’ve had to overcome to get where you are today?
The fear of having to freestyle in front of people until I saw some artiste I looked up to in the industry reading their pre-written lines from their phone during a live freestyle session. This gave me the strength and courage to develop myself by practicing. Today I can freestyle anywhere without looking at anything.
- What first got you into music?
I got into music professionally in 2010 after the death of Dagrin because I felt that a mantle had been dropped, and I believed with consistency and hard work, I could pick it up. Before the year 2010, I started recording in 2008 in my hostel in Covenant University because I was very bored, and I felt I could rap when I heard the beats made by my roommate by the name B.neptune.
- What is your creative process like?
My creative process is inspired by certain music that I consider bad music that I see online and on the television. I feel with the same platform that celebrity musicians have that I can impact people positively with my music, and this is what inspires me to write my music.
- What would you be doing right now if it wasn’t for your music career?
I will be lecturing at a university.
- What is the best advice you’ve been given?
My uncle by the name of WET told me to understand the difference between my gift, talent, and skill.
- Which famous musicians do you admire?
Dagrin, Tupac, Davidoo, Wizkid, and Drake.
- What’s next for you?
Before the completion of my doctorate, I want to release as many songs as possible because I am convinced I am at my prime, and I have the opportunity to fulfill my dreams of making beautiful music.
