SWEET US Timaya’s new song elevates music to a new level. Highest CHULO began the year 2022 with the release of the track “No Pressure,” and he quickly followed that up with the release of another tune, “Charger.” He released “Get My Money Right,” a new song that was produced by Spotless, in July. The multiplatinum-certified hit producer and recognized king of Afro-Soca music is known for his numerous collaborations (including the remix of his smash track “Bum Bum” with Sean Paul), 6 studio albums, and an EP (2019’s “Chulo Vibes”).
Timaya releases the new track “Sweet Us” today to change the course of the year. Timaya’s fourth official single, “SWEET US,” which was produced by Michon, is based on the Governor Wike theme song, “As e dey sweet us, e dey pain them, As e dey pain them, e dey sweet us.” The song, which is a flawless fusion of calypso and afro-dancehall, talks about avoiding stress, being a “Bad-Belle,” and peppering your detractors. The melody, atmosphere, and memorable hook all come from Timaya, giving the song a lot of replay potential. Enjoy the audio clip below.
